Write
what you know has been the advice given to Kristohper Kale & Noelle
Andressen Kale from the
likes of
Producers Doug S. Cramer, Gerald Molen, and Aaron Spelling. In the past
years of their training at UNLV and production internships, they have found that
"writing what you know" to be the essence of their focus with every
project that they've successfully embarked upon. Whether dealing with human
sufferings or triumphs nothing can better relate to the audience except personal
experiences.
Combining
experience and education make for a cutting-edge, award winning, Emmy nominated,
husband and wife film team that
have brought forth "This is not a Crib for your Baby" P.S.A.s and the
powerful and gripping Emmy nominated documentary film: "Baby Doe's Heartbeat".
Both,
previously focused on establishing themselves as actors, Kristopher
has focused tempering his behind the camera crafts as a director &
cinematographer. His credits include: Assistant to DP for Discovery's
Betting on
the Future; DP Beauty from Ashes; CineVegas International Film Festival;
& directed numerous film shorts.
His
attitude about filmmaking: "There is no art without philosophy."
Having proved herself as a savvy writer/producer with a keen directorial eye,
Noelle has now embarked on a life-long,
independent-filmmaking, partnership with her husband. She
has been involved with the film/TV community since she was a teen both in front
and behind the camera. Her screen credits include: Production Secretary
for Doug S. Cramer/Aaron Spelling Prds; Script Supervisor for cult horror
filmmaker Ted Mikels; Associate Producer "Live from Las Vegas"; an appearance in
CSI & 3000 Miles to Graceland; and produced & directed numerous film shorts.
Both are members of the SW Chapter of NATAS.
When
asked about how to handle life, family and filmmaking, "Life doesn't offer
receipts so you can't take it back. Spend it wisely and live your dreams."

The story of ENCOPA
What was just an innocent
curiosity turned into a seed for the future. While reading Hamlet, Noelle came across the
theme eternity & pondered a moment. She grabbed her dictionary & looked
it up. It said: "eternity-nothing changes or passes away."
She wrote it down & thought some more. She underlined the first letter
of every word: E-N-C-O-P-A. Behold it was a light-bulb moment. A
moment that wouldn't be fully realized until almost 2 decades later when the
Kale's were naming their production company.
The film strip infinity sign haloing above the company's name is also very symbolic of
eternity. Celluloid has its own sense of eternity, it can preserve moments
in time for future generations. Whether it's bringing a documentary issue to light or
discovering the heart of a character as he journeys on his quest to discover his
own truth; their motto: "Bringing Truth to the Screen" is the standard
in which they follow when making all films. All things have a truth.
Nothing can remain hidden in the dark when the light of truth enters in.
ENCOPA
Productions' Mission Statement
Noelle and Kristopher greatly
value the filmmaking of the 1940s-50s. The story art that was brought
forth on the silver screen has been unmatched for the most part by
following decades except for a few visionaries. Their goal is to bring
not only truth to the screen but beautiful cinematic stories that have
scope and human drama echoing their predecessors' art form. To bring back the
true essence of an auteur and have the message of their films reach a
wide audience is a main goal for the Kales. "People perish without vision, without hope. We want
to bring back human inspiration and vision to the screen."
